US company Kemet is world leader in producing capacitors with 85-years history. Kemet maintains its corporate headquarters and two Innovation Centers in the Upstate of South Carolina. Manufacturing facilities are located in Mexico, China, Italy, England, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Indonesia, Germany and Bulgaria.
The product line now includes the world's most complete line of surface-mount and through-hole capacitor technologies across tantalum, ceramic, aluminum (organic and electrolytic), film, and paper dielectrics. They are found in virtually all electronic applications and products used today, including those in the computer, telecommunication, automotive, military and aerospace, medical, industrial/instrumentation (including lighting), and consumer market segments.
The company markets its capacitors to a large and diverse group of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), electronics manufacturing services (EMS) providers, and electronics distributors around the world. Production is measured in the billions of pieces per year.

On leased parcel of 4.4 hectares in the Technological Industrial Development Zone Skopje 1, Kemet Electronics started construction of new facility with total area of 10,000 m². The investment is worth USD 25 million and will employ 500 persons.
Kemet Electronics will start with production of standard capacitors and in the future will expand their production with additional products.
